Frequently Asked Questions
Registration can be completed online directly through our website. Simply use the "Register" drop-down menu at the top of the page, the season and sport to see our program options. Alternatively, you can also navigate to the program options by first exploring our sport-specific pages for volleyball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee.
For indoor basketball and volleyball, your child will need appropriate athletic footwear, comfortable clothing, and a water bottle. We provide all other necessary equipment (such as basketballs and volleyballs) during practice sessions and games. Other items such as arm sleeves and knee pads are entirely optional.
For outdoor beach volleyball and ultimate frisbee, the best footwear is cleats or runners with good grip for the field. Dressing appropriately for the weather is critical, and please be sure to send your athlete out with adequate sun protection (i.e., hat, sunglasses, sunscreen). We also recommend to bring a towel as there is a footwash station at the beach courts.
Cancellations made more than fourteen days prior to the program start date will be fully refunded less a $40 processing fee. Cancellations made within fourteen days of the program start date are not eligible for a refund.
Transfers between programs within a season are facilitated by Stryker at no charge except for any difference in registration fees (if the new program has higher fees, the additional amount is charged directly to the registrant, while if the new program has lower fees, the difference is refunded directly to the registrant).
For any cancellation required because of extenuating. circumstances (i.e., prolonged injury, geographical move), please contact us directly at info@strykersports.ca. There are no refunds for missed sessions during a program, but don't worry as our All Session Guarantee has your back! More details in our FAQs.
We pride ourselves at Stryker on ensuring our young athletes have the best access to sport. Missed sessions happen for all kinds of reasons, so that's why we've instituted the All Session Guarantee. If your athlete misses a Spring, Fall, or Winter session for any reason - whether it’s illness, injury, family commitments, late signup, or vacation - they can make it up at any of our other program locations.
Once you've identified a few make-up session options that work with your schedule, please contact us directly at info@strykersports.ca so that we can make sure we have sufficient capacity and that the coaches are aware. We know life happens and we don't want kids missing out!
