Amplify

Co-ed for Boys and Girls in Grades 7+

Building on some previous exposure to the sport, we begin to layer on additional skills and knowledge through more complicated drills, deeper instruction on the fundamentals, and increased gameplay.

---

Designed for athletes with less than two years of experience in Stryker programs or team play (e.g., Stryker's league, junior high, senior high, or club team).

Launchpad

Co-ed for Boys and Girls in Grades 7+

With a few seasons or years of exposure to the sport, including many practices and games, we help athletes upskill on all dimensions, from technique, to gameplay, to court vison, and game sense.

---

Designed for athletes with more than two years of experience in Stryker programs or team play (e.g., Stryker's league, junior high, senior high, or club team).

Young athletes who can reliably execute the following tend to be the best fit for Stryker's Volleyball Launchpad program:

🗹 serve overhand with more than half of serves landing in

🗹 know the position numbers on the court by heart

🗹 bump or set continuously with a partner for >30 touches in a row

Volleyball League

Co-ed for Boys and Girls in Grades 7-12

Ideal for players who love the game of volleyball and want to play in a league with dedicated practices and game days. This is an excellent opportunity for athletes who are playing junior high school, high school, or aspiring to play club volleyball, and want to continue playing in a competitive environment and further their skills development and game sense. Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and league divisions and teams are formed by skill so that all athletes participate at an engaging level.

How does Stryker's League Work?

Divisions   Stryker's league will be comprised of athletes placed into divisions by experience and skill (which often correlates to age).  Within each division, teams are formed by Stryker's coaching staff so that there is an equal distribution of genders and experience levels, ensuring suitable competition across teams within each division.

Teams   Each team will consist of 8-10 athletes to balance court time with reality that all athletes are not able to attend all game days. The divisions and teams are formed after the first two weeks of sessions as this initial training period provides the athletes time to grow and play together, while also giving coaches a chance to get to know the athletes.

Game Days   All teams will play a minimum of two games each week (each game is "best of three" sets), and there is usually time to play three games. Stryker's league is built around game days occurring on Sunday afternoons, typically out of the Rundle Academy and/or Glenmore Christian Academy gyms.

Optional Training Sessions   Beyond the weekly 2-hour gameday, each division will be provided with three optional training sessions. We strongly encourage all league athletes to participate in at least one of these sessions, and we love seeing athletes make use of as many of these sessions as they can. These optional training sessions are typically grouped by division.
